The Napa River posed a significant hurdle in the civil engineering associated with the construction of the Oxbow Public Market located in downtown Napa.  Our design incorporated floodway modeling which elevated the deck of the market 5-feet above the surrounding areas and required the coordination of an emergency floodwall design to be implemented at the Market’s Annex.  Stormwater treatment at the market is accomplished through filtration in the planters, media filtration and a pervious concrete gutter.
